Jaipur: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje said Sunday that Hindutva formed the ideological foundation of nation building and described the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as more than an organisation, calling it a “school of life” that nurtures patriotism and character.Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed first floor of Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Chhabra (Baran), Raje said the RSS played a key role in shaping disciplined and committed citizens devoted to the nation. She said institutions affiliated with Vidya Bharati aimed to create educated, skilled, and value-driven individuals rooted in Indian culture.“Vidya Bharati is working to educate children from economically weaker sections and make them self-reliant,” Raje said, adding that over 33 lakh students are currently studying in educational institutions run by the organisation across the country. She said the core objective of Vidya Bharati is not only academic education but also the inculcation of cultural, moral, and social values. “This organisation is preparing a patriotic and value-based generation for the country,” she said.Addressing girl students, Raje encouraged them to aim high and pursue leadership roles. “If Vasundhara Raje can become chief minister, why can’t you?” she said. Referring to former President Pratibha Patil and current President Droupadi Murmu, she said their journeys should inspire young girls, including students of Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Chhabra, to aspire to the highest offices.
