Jaipur/Bhilwara: Congress general secretary Sachin Pilot Sunday criticised the state govt over the Rajasthan high court‘s order recommending the cancellation of the SI recruitment exam, saying the court’s judgment was a slap in the govt’s face.Pilot said he had always been a votary of reform in the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, pointing to the many flaws in the commission, as well as to the govt’s inaction in fixing it in the two years since it has been in office. Pilot said he highlighted the flaws in RPSC for the beginning. “I still stand by this even today. Corruption is happening even in places where interviews are conducted for exams,” he added. “I have been saying from the beginning that papers are being leaked in RPSC. The commission should be completely restructured on the lines of the UPSC. But it hasn’t happened yet. He asserted that no one, including officials and politicians, should jeopardise the youth’s future. Responding to cabinet minister Jogaram Patel’s claim that the SI recruitment exam was not cancelled, Pilot said, “The high court’s order clearly states that the SI recruitment exam has been cancelled.”Pilot said, “A child who worked hard and reached a position by honestly participating in the exam should not face injustice. However, this is a high court’s order, and there’s nothing left to say or hear after this. This is not just about one recruitment, one exam, or one issue. It’s an entire process. If no action is taken, such incidents will continue to happen.”
