Jaipur: The Rajasthan high court has stayed further criminal proceedings against a school principal in connection with an FIR registered at Gegal police station in Ajmer district, granting interim relief to the petitioner. The order was passed by Justice Anil Kumar Upman on March 17 while hearing a petition challenging the trial court’s action. The court issued notice to the respondents and directed that the matter be listed after six weeks, ordering that proceedings before the trial court remain stayed till then. Appearing for the petitioner, counsel Sunil Samdaria argued that the principal, currently serving at an educational institution, was wrongly implicated and that the chargesheet does not disclose commission of any offence. The case pertains to allegations under Section 341 (wrongful restraint) of the IPC and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. TNN
