Jaipur: A division bench of Rajasthan High Court Monday asked the state govt to provide details of the action plan prepared to deal with heat wave conditions in the state. The court also asked the Union govt and others to submit their reply in the matter.
The division bench of Chief Justice M M Shrivastava and Justice Mukesh Rajpurohit was hearing the suo motu matter sent to it for hearing. At the same time, the bench disposed of the cognisance taken by a single bench on the same matter a few days ago. “When the matter was sent for hearing to the division bench, then there is no justification for taking suo motu cognisance again of that subject,” the bench said.
A single bench had taken suo motu cognisance of the matter on May 30 last year. The same single bench again took suo motu cognisance about a fortnight ago. tnn
