Jaipur: Referring to the poison dissolving in air under environmental pollution, Governor Haribhau Bagde Thursday said that respiratory diseases not only increase due to this but also occur due to smoking and allergies. Bagde was addressing the 27th conference on respiratory diseases “NAPCON” at Birla Auditorium on Thursday.“Healthy lungs and clean air are the true wealth of a nation. Respiratory diseases are not merely medical concerns but societal challenges tied to lifestyle and awareness. Doctors are not just healers but protectors of society,” he said.NAPCON organising chairman Dr KK Sharma said topics included interventional pulmonology, pulmonary function testing, pleuroscopy, allergy and immunology, tuberculosis, sleep and critical care medicine, and radiology in ILD will be discussed in the conference. The conference will continue till November 16, featuring plenary lectures, symposia, panel discussions, and interactive case-based sessions by eminent national and international faculty.
