Jaipur: Taking a dig at the BJP govt, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra Thursday said that by Dec, the situation will be such that the govt won’t be able to pay employees’ salaries due to poor management and lack of revenue. He said that the govt is in such a state that it is not even in a position to repair roads damaged by rains or buildings where water is leaking during rains. “No tenders will be sanctioned in the future. They seem indifferent to the problems of the people of Rajasthan. Their focus is only on investigating the works of Congress’s five-year rule. A committee of ministers couldn’t complete the investigation of the last six months’ 800 works in one-and-a-half years,” he said.“The govt is only reviewing the works of the Congress and blaming the Congress with baseless statements, and no other work is being done,” he added. He also pointed out that amidst the flood situation in 13 to 14 districts, the CM was in New Delhi, more focused on political manoeuvres than addressing the crisis. “Instead of alleviating the suffering of the people in the state, the Chief Minister (Bhajan Lal Sharma) is meeting with central ministers, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, and the Prime Minister,” he said.“In Rajasthan, governance is such that neither bureaucrats nor ministers are going to the field; governance is being run only through statements. It is surprising that during the rains, while people’s lives are being disrupted, the CM is making reels with a convoy of 100 cars, causing more inconvenience to the public,” he added.Dotasra claimed that when an incident occurred in Jhalawar, the education minister Madan Dilawar hastily stated that the govt has allocated a budget of Rs 159 crore for the repair of dilapidated school buildings, but it was learned that the administrative approval for this was issued seven days after the statement, and the financial approval and tender process have not even started, let alone the work.“It would have been better if the CM had announced that the govt would repair all public utility buildings, including schools, colleges, primary health centres, community health centres, and community buildings, and announced a special package. However, instead of making this announcement, the CM said that the govt would investigate the construction works carried out by the Congress govt in five years,” he said.
