Jaipur: The Rajasthan govt transferred 91 IPS officers in a major reshuffle Saturday. The reshuffle affected all major ranges and units below Additional Director General rank, with significant changes at the IG, DIG and SP levels. Om Prakash, who was IG Bikaner, was posted as Commissioner of Police, Jodhpur, replacing Rajendra Singh, who was posted as IG Ajmer Range, while Manish Kumar Agarwal was appointed Additional Commissioner (crime) in Jaipur, replacing Kunwar Rashtradeep, who was posted as DIG Personnel and Head Staff Officer to the DGP. The Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) for north, south, east and west districts, along with DCPs for crime, traffic and headquarters in Jaipur, were also reshuffled.While most IG-level appointments saw churning, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph remained unchanged, indicating that another IPS transfer list for the ADG rank may be on the cards soon.
