Jaipur: In response to the escalating violence in Nepal, the Rajasthan Police set up a special cell at its headquarters and issued helpline numbers to assist Rajasthanis stranded in the neighbouring country. The special cell was established following chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s instructions. Rajasthanis in Nepal can contact the special cell at the office of the additional director general of police, law and order, via the 24/7 helpline numbers 0141-2740832 and 0141-2741807. Assistance can also be sought through WhatsApp at 9784942702. Sharma expressed concern for the safety of Rajasthanis in Nepal, labelling the situation as heartbreaking. He reached out to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to obtain updates on the circumstances affecting citizens in the region. The CM said that the govt of India is fully committed to ensuring the safety and secure return of every citizen. He appealed to all Rajasthani expatriates in Nepal to stay in constant contact with the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and to adhere to the advisories issued by the govt of India. tnn
