Bhilwara: The roof of a classroom collapsed in Tonk district’s Kakod village Tuesday creating panic among the students and staff. Fortunately, as the classroom was locked, no one was hurt in the incident. Out of the 17 classrooms in the Kakod Higher Secondary Govt School, approximately 15 are in a dilapidated state. At the time of the accident a class was on in the adjacent room.On hearing about the incident, students’ parents, Uniara subdivision officer Shatrudhan Gurjar, and education officials reached the scene. Principal Ratan Kanwar stated that they had already informed the administration and the education department about the school’s condition in writing. Chief district education officer Sushila Karanani blamed school management panel for its negligence. tnn
