Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Wednesday met with the Harmada accident injured persons at SMS Hospital’s trauma centre and demanded compensation for those who lost their lives in the accident and the injured.“When people stage sit-ins after accidents, the govt announces compensation under pressure. Compensation was given after Jodhpur and Jaisalmer accidents, but no compensation has been announced yet after 13 people died in Harmada,” he said.Gehlot said it is shameful for the govt that Jaipur and Jodhpur High Courts took notice of the accident. “We demand that a special committee be formed to investigate several departments,” the former CM said.
