Jaipur: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot Monday met parents whose children, despite being selected for admission in private schools under Right to Education (RTE), are still waiting for the admission process to be completed. Parents met Gehlot under the banner of Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh. Gehlot said, “This situation is very unfortunate and unjust because education is a fundamental right of children. I want to ask that if even the selected children do not get admission to the school, then what is the meaning of the lottery? It is the responsibility of the education department and the govt to get these children admitted in schools at any cost.” tnn
