Jhunjhunu: Churu’s Ratangarh police Tuesday arrested an accused in the case of extortion from a businessman by gangster Virendra Charan. Farookh is a history-sheeter and cases of buying and selling weapons are also registered against him.CI Gaurav Khidiya said that a businessman received an extortion threat of ₹2 crore in the name of gangster Virendra Charan. After the case was registered, police started an investigation, following which they arrested Umar Farookh Khan, a resident of Railway Ghumchakkar in Ratangarh city.The accused, whi is said to have been in contact with gangster Virendra Charan for a long time, is being interrogated.
