Jaipur: City police on Thursday registered a case against former Rajasthan minister Rajendra Singh Gudha and others following a complaint by Shri Rajput Sabha alleging trespass and vandalism at a Rajput hostel.According to the FIR filed at Jalupura police station, the hostel warden alerted Sabha officials Wednesday that Gudha and several associates were approaching the premises. The complaint alleged that Gudha climbed over the boundary wall using a ladder and entered the hostel through the roof, despite the main gate being open.The FIR stated that when students began filming the incident, Gudha’s associates entered through the gate, abused the warden, grabbed his collar, and threatened him. Gudha later moved to the hostel’s meeting hall before apologising to the warden and leaving with his companions, the complaint mentioned.The dispute escalated the following day when around 100 to 150 people, including Gudha and his supporters, gathered at Shri Rajput Sabha and raised slogans, the FIR alleged. Around 3 pm, the group allegedly went to the hostel with the intent to take control of the premises.The complaint stated that the group forced its way inside, locked the main gate from within, broke open the warden’s room, and set fire to documents, account registers, bedding, and clothes. Cash of about Rs 30,000 kept in the room was also allegedly burnt. CCTV cameras, cables, and the hostel’s hard disk were destroyed, it added.Police said an investigation is underway to verify the allegations and determine individual roles.
