Fire breaks out in vacant area of coaching institute city; no one injured

Jaipur: A fire broke out on the ground floor of a vacant portion of a coaching institute in Sultan Nagar under the Mahesh Nagar Police Station area Monday evening. Fire department’s timely action prevented the incident from escalating.According to the police, the fire erupted around 9.15 pm after a transformer caught fire. Shortly afterwards, another transformer located close to the ground floor of the coaching institute was also affected. A senior police officer from Mahesh Nagar Police Station said that the portion of the building where the fire occurred was vacant and was kept by the institute owner for renting out. Several locals and passers-by reported hearing a blast-like sound, which police said was likely caused by the collision or snapping of high-tension electric wires during the incident. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot immediately after the alert. “Three fire tenders brought the fire under control within a few minutes,” an officer said. Police confirmed that no loss of life or major property damage was reported, as the affected area was unoccupied at the time of the incident. Further investigation is underway.
