Jaipur: The Election Commission (EC) Saturday announced a special summary revision of voter lists for the Anta bypoll. The Anta seat fell vacant after the sitting MLA, Kanwarlal Meena, was disqualified following his sentencing to three years in prison for pointing a pistol at a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM). The last date for the publication of the electoral roll for the Anta bypoll is Oct 1. The draft publication of voter lists will take place on Sept 3. The programme has been shared with all political parties. Therefore, it is believed that the schedule for the Anta bypoll will be announced after the publication of the final electoral roll.
