Jaipur: Governor Haribhau Bagde Monday visited the ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition at Bhawani Niketan, organised as part of celebrations of 78th Army Day. He praised the military strength and technological capabilities of the Indian Army on display and said that honouring soldiers was the responsibility of every citizen. “Work related to any officer or soldier of the army should be given priority in govt offices and all other places,” Bagde said.Display of defence equipment at the exhibition will be open to the public until 1pm Tuesday, officials said.Bagde especially appreciated the display showcasing ‘Operation Sindoor’ and also watched a dog show organised at the venue.“‘Know Your Army’ is a unique display of Indian military power. It provides citizens with an opportunity to witness the strength, technology, and sacrifices of the Indian Army up close, and to feel proud of the country by seeing the indigenous weapons related to our self-reliance in the military sector,” Bagde said. Visitors to the exhibition on Monday witnessed an array of mechanised platforms, infantry weapons, artillery and air defence systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and advanced communication equipment. An official release issued by PRO Defence said, “‘Know Your Army Mela’ proved to be a meaningful and inspiring prelude to the forthcoming Army Day celebrations, strengthening the military-civil connect and reaffirming the shared pride of a grateful nation, with its grand culmination scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday).”
