Jaipur: Rajasthan colts continued their impressive run thrashing Bengal by an innings and 15 runs in the Col CK Nayudu U-23 Trophy Elite match which concluded at the Bengal Cricket Academy in Kalyani on Wednesday.Resuming at their overnight score of 184/6 in 58 overs, Bengal added just 21 runs before being bundled out for mere 205 in their second innings in 68.3 overs.Rajasthan medium-pacers Deependra Singh (4-48) and Ganesh Suthar (3-50) did the bulk of the damage to bowl their team to a thumping win. Left-arm spinner Mohit Changra picked up a couple of wickets, while Chetan Sharma chipped in with a wicket.Rajasthan batters also performed well as they amassed 366 in their first innings courtesy of a sparkling hundred by Karan Lamba. Other batters like Mukul Choudhary (44), Anirudh Singh Chouhan (38), Sarvagya Paneri and Sumit Godara (30 each) and skipper Raj Sharma (27) also contributed to take the team beyond the 350-run mark.With this massive win, Rajasthan collected 14 points from this match, while Bengal had to be content with just 3 points.
