Jaipur: Dr Deeksha Mehta has become the first woman oncology surgeon in govt sector in the state. She is currently working at SMS Medical college. She completed her three-year surgical oncology superspecialty course. “She has been working as faculty in SMS Medical College in the surgery department since 2016. She was selected as a faculty member through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission,” said Dr Prabha Om, head of the department (surgery), SMS Hospital.
