Bhilwara: In a joint crackdown on illegal gravel mining, Bhilwara police detained over a dozen suspects and seized 12 tractor trolleys, five JCB machines, and two dumpers Tuesday. The operation was carried out by teams from Sadar and Mangrop police stations along with the District Special Team (DST).Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh Yadav said all police officers were directed to act against illegal mining, especially in rivers like Banas, Kothari, Mansi, and Khari, where no mining permits had been issued.A joint team led by Sadar SHO Kailash Kumar Bishnoi and DST was deployed in the Kothari river area under Sadar police limits. Five teams conducted raids and seized vehicles used in illegal mining operations.In a separate action, Mangrop police seized two dumpers from the Banas river. Cases have been registered under relevant sections of the BNS and MMDR Act. SP Yadav warned of strict action against anyone involved in illegal mining.
