Jaipur: A female contractual employee at JK Lon Hospital has accused a nursing officer of molestation during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Following a complaint from the employee who is engaged as a ward helper, the hospital removed the accused nursing officer from duty and directed him to report to SMS Medical College.The victim submitted a written complaint over the incident to SMS hospital police station as well as to the hospital administration.The allegation triggered unease at the hospital Monday morning, when contractual staff gathered to protest the incident and demanded strict action, threatening to stop work if the accused continued to be employed at the hospital.“The ward helper has made serious allegations and we have removed the nursing officer from our hospital; he has been directed to report to SMS Medical College,” said JK Lon Hospital superintendent RN Sehra. “Police are investigating the case, while we have formed a committee to probe the matter and submit a report within three days,” he added.According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 2am as the woman was coming out of a washroom. It says the nursing officer blocked her path, grabbed her by the hand, and forced her into a bench, before she pushed him aside and left.The complaint also alleges that the accused offered her money and elected to mark her attendance even if she didn’t show up for work.
