Jaipur: Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC) Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a consortium of companies led by the Centre for Innovation in Public Policy (CIPP), in association with the Hundred Million Jobs mission, to create 3.5 lakh jobs across the state. The consortium included Generation India Foundation (GIF), Head Held High Foundation (HHH), and Saarv Solutions Private Ltd (Saarv) as implementation partners. The MoU was signed in the presence of RSLDC Managing Director Rishav Mandal and Deputy General Manager Sunita Chaudhary, along with industry leaders Harish Mehta, co-founder of NASSCOM, and AJ Patel, founder of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). With 63% of the state’s population in the working-age group and double-digit growth of over 12%, Rajasthan is well positioned to convert investment-led growth into sustained employment through demand-linked skill development and district-level implementation, said RSLDC’s Managing Director. As per the MoU, the programme will target youth, women, and first-time job seekers in the NEET category, focusing on manufacturing, services, digital, and renewable energy sectors. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mandal emphasised the importance of translating growth into sustained job opportunities, particularly in aspirational districts, while highlighting collaboration with ITIs and technical institutes. Madan Padaki of Head Held High Foundation stressed the “whole of district” approach to build local capacity and connect underserved youth to economic pathways, while Arunesh Singh of GIF noted the use of the organisation’s globally vetted 7-step methodology to help job seekers gain relevant skills and steady employment. Harish Mehta of NASSCOM underscored that the partnership is designed as a repeatable model for large-scale employment across states, while AJ Patel of TiE said Rajasthan could become a blueprint for job creation in India. K Yatish Rajawat, Founder and CEO of CIPP, added that the collaboration reflects the mission of the Hundred Million Jobs initiative to generate employment opportunities nationwide over the next decade, marking the first of several such partnerships with states across India. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce unemployment, strengthen Rajasthan’s renewable energy workforce, and serve as a replicable model for large-scale job creation across the country.
