Bhilwara: Police Tuesday destroyed illegal poppy husk, cannabis and smack seized from eight police stations in Chittorgarh district. The action came after court verification. SP Manish Tripathi was present at the site and the action was carried out under the supervision of the District Drug Disposal Committee.SP Manish Tripathi of Chittorgarh stated that the storerooms of police stations in the district are filled with narcotics and vehicles seized under the NDPS Act, creating storage issues for other confiscated items. Proposals and records were prepared for the disposal of seized goods by the respective station officers.On Tuesday, in the presence of SP Manish Tripathi, ASP Sarita Singh and station in-charges from eight police stations, necessary records were matched, and the entire process of weighing and destroying the narcotics was completed. All the seized illegal narcotics were destroyed by burning in the kiln of Wonder Cement by the District Drug Disposal Committee, Chittorgarh. TNN
