Jaipur: Traffic on the Bharat Jodo Setu came to a halt for some time Friday evening after a passenger car caught fire on a stretch of the flyover. Police said the driver and a passenger managed to escape the burning car without injuries.SHO (Sodala) Balveer Singh Kaswan said flames engulfed the car suddenly and completely gutted the car’s front portion. “A short circuit in the electrical system is likely behind the incident”, he said.Traffic movement on the flyover was briefly halted as firefighters reached the scene to douse the flames.“Vehicles were allowed to pass once the blaze was brought under control”, Kaswan said, adding that the vehicle would be removed from the scene following an inspection.
