Kota: Some people allegedly threw black colour on a mosque in Alod village during a Holi procession Wednesday in Dablana police station area of Bundi district, additional superintendent of police Uma Sharma said. Police officers, including ASP Sharma, reached the village and controlled the situation before it could worsen.Sharma said police had detained some suspects, who were being interrogated.“Some miscreants in a Holi procession passing through Alod village on Wednesday at noon allegedly threw black colour over a mosque, which tainted its front wall and entrance,” Sharma said.People from the minority community gathered outside the mosque and confronted the men in the Holi procession. However, police reached the village in time and pacified the crowd, assuring them of strict action against those involved in the offence, and deployed personnel to avert any untoward incident, Sharma said. She also denied any incident of stone-pelting or manhandling during the confrontation.Footage from CCTV cameras installed along the route was being examined to identify the miscreants, Sharma said. She added that the situation in the village was under control and normal, with police force deployed there.
