Ajmer: An 18-year-old boy from Akodiya village in Ajmer district killed the nine-year-old son of a neighbourhood woman who “exposed” his relationship with a minor girl. The accused suffocated the child to death. He was arrested by police Tuesday, and an investigation was launched into the case.Additional SP Deepak Kumar said Arai police station was informed Monday of the death of 9-year-old Kushiram in Kishangarh hospital, and that his relatives suspected murder. Ajmer SP Vandita Rana directed a team to investigate the allegation in depth, and therefore a team was constituted. The team collected the medical report, and the FSL team gathered evidence from where the boy was found unconscious.The team then arrested 18-year-old Deepak Mali, a resident of Akodiya village.Police found that Kushiram’s mother, Neharaj, had told the village about Mali’s affair with the minor, which led him to be reprimanded in the village. Mali then plotted revenge on Neharaj. On Monday, when he found Kushiram alone, he suffocated him to death and fled. The incident led to protests at Kishangarh hospital by Kushiram’s kin, who demanded an FIR.
