Bomb drill held at pvt school to test emergency response

Jaipur: A mock bomb threat drill was conducted at Jayshree Periwal School in Mahapura on Ajmer Road Wednesday afternoon. Police, civil defence, and emergency teams carried out a coordinated three-hour exercise to test response readiness.DCP (west) Hanuman Prasad Meena said the exercise simulated a bomb threat call, prompting immediate deployment of teams from the SEZ police station, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, SDRF, fire brigade, and ambulance services.About 450 hostel students and 150 staff members were safely evacuated before the building was searched. A dummy explosive device was later located and ‘defused’. The operation ended around 3:30 pm, with officials assessing the response time and inter-agency coordination.
