Jaisalmer: A 25-year-old man was killed after a Bolero Camper hit his motorcycle on State Highway 65 near Raikon Ki Dhani in the Shiv police station area of Barmer late Tuesday evening. The victim, identified as Omprakash, a resident of Undu village, died on the spot.Police said Omprakash was travelling from Kanasar to Undu when the vehicle coming from the opposite direction rammed into his bike. The motorcycle got lodged in the front of the Camper and he was dragged for nearly 100 metres. The driver fled the scene.Following the accident, villagers and family members staged a protest at the site. Police reached the spot, pacified the crowd and shifted the body to Bhiyad Hospital mortuary. Further action will be taken based on the family’s complaint. Omprakash was employed with a private company.
