Bhilwara collector to be honoured by President

Bhilwara: Bhilwara collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu will be conferred with a national honour by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India, for excellent work in the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan conducted under the Dharti Aabha Yojana. This honour will be presented by President Droupadi Murmu on Friday at a ceremony to be held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.An official statement said Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan was effectively conducted in Bhilwara district’s Asind, Shahpura, Kotri, Jahazpur, Mandalgarh and Bijoliya blocks, where tribal service centres were established in 141 revenue villages and various activities were organised. The objective of this campaign is to ensure 100 percent inclusive development in ST-dominated areas of the district by 2030. Under the campaign, remarkable progress has been recorded in the direction of education, health, sanitation, nutrition, livelihood and social empowerment.Sandhu credited his achievement to cooperation of district officials, employees, public representatives and common people and said that this honour belongs to every citizen of Bhilwara district who worked towards the holistic development of the tribal community. He said his team prepared ‘village vision plans’ for implementation of schemes from 17 departments and Bhilwara district has been recognised for preparing the best such plan under the campaign.
