Jaipur: State govt Wednesday suspended Baran district’s deputy conservator of forests (DCF) Anil Kumar Yadav over charges of negligence, indiscipline, and corruption linked to illegal tree felling and encroachments on forest land. Responding to a calling attention motion raised by MLA Lalit Meena in the Assembly Wednesday, forest and environment minister Sanjay Sharma said strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal activities such as khair tree felling, tendu leaf collection, and misuse of forest resources.“The govt has received repeated complaints from public representatives regarding encroachments on forest land and illegal felling under the DCF’s watch,” Sharma told the House.
