Jaipur: A 9-month-old baby was allegedly kidnapped Wednesday night while he was sleeping next to his mother under a flyover in the city’s Bajaj Nagar area. The family, who lives a nomadic life, discovered the baby missing when they woke up. An FIR was registered at Bajaj Nagar police station on Friday, and police launched a search for the child.The complaint was filed by Vinita Yogi, a native of Uttar Pradesh, who was living in Jaipur for some time with her family. The family initially stayed near Gaurav Tower at Jawahar Circle but shifted about four months ago to live under the Triveni flyover on Gopalpura Road.On Wednesday night, Vinita was sleeping under the flyover with her husband, their 2-year-old son, and the 9-month-old infant. Sometime during the night, an unknown person kidnapped the baby. When they woke up on Thursday morning, the infant was missing. Despite searching the area, they couldn’t find the child. Vinita filed a complaint at Bajaj Nagar police station on Friday, and police began a search operation. Teams are reviewing CCTV footage from around the area to trace the child.The family also claimed that some time ago, near Gaurav Tower, a man offered to buy the child and even offered a large sum of money.
