Jaipur: Amol Chelani missed his century by a solitary run but guided Rajasthan to a resounding five-wicket win over Haryana in the Men’s U-23 State A Trophy Elite one-day match at the Gujarat College Cricket Ground in Ahmedabad on Thursday.Chasing a daunting target of 307, most of the Rajasthan batters displayed excellent performance to romp home with five wickets and eleven balls to spare.Wicketkeeper-batter Amol (99: 107b, 12×4, 2×6) gave the innings a flying start and stitched 76 runs partnership for the second wicket with Anirudh Singh Chouhan (43: 58b, 6×4). Amol also had a 49-run stand with Karan Lamba (28: 24b, 1×4, 2×6) to put his team on the victory path.Thereafter, Mukul Choudhary (78 not out: 48b, 4×4, 5×6) and captain Rohan Rajbhar (33 not out: 21b, 3×4, 1×6) added 90 runs without getting separated in just 44 balls to steer Rajasthan to a commanding win.Earlier, batting first, Haryana recovered from a poor start to pile up 306 in their allotted 50 overs thanks mainly to a hundred from Vivek Kumar (119).
