Jaipur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the Rajasthan Police Academy Saturday to hand over appointment letters to candidates selected through the recent constable recruitment examination.Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma said Friday that Shah would personally distribute appointment letters to the newly selected constables as part of an initiative to boost the morale of recruits joining the force.Sources said appointment letters were earlier issued at the district level, and this is the first time a state-level event is being organised for the purpose.Sharma also said a two-day state-level police conference organised by the Rajasthan Police concluded Saturday. The conference was attended by senior police officers from across the state.“The conference was held Thursday and Friday. Experts from different fields and agencies across the country participated,” Sharma said.He said a wide range of issues, including counter-terrorism, crowd management and cybercrime, were discussed. “We also deliberated on strengthening forensic capabilities and disaster management,” he added.On the final day of the conference Friday, the chief guest, Chief Secretary V Srinivas, shared key inputs on building a police force aligned with the vision of a developed India, with a focus on record management, documentation and related administrative reforms.
