Alwar: An Air Force personnel, Lakshmi Prasad, drowned at Damoh waterfall in Sarmathura police station area of Dholpur district Wednesday. His fellow soldiers reportedly fled the scene without informing anyone. Prasad had come from Gwalior with his colleagues for a picnic. Dholpur police were informed of the incident by Air Force officials from Gwalior 12 hours later, at 6 am Thursday. With help of SDRF and divers, the search for the soldier began, and after about 10 hours of effort, his body was found and retrieved from the water. After a postmortem, Air Force officials and personnel took the body away.Sarmathura SHO Kripal Singh said Prasad was a resident of Adilabad in Telangana. He said that as soon as Prasad drowned in the waterfall, the other soldiers left without informing anyone. tnn
