Dwivedi, a self-taught artist, tells multiple stories through her paintings. Be it women cooking over a chulha, their odhanis aflame with bright colours, women fetching water, pots stacked like a crown, farming, or sowing seeds into fields, women dominate the frames. She began to seriously create artworks during Covid-19 and since than she has created more than 100 artworks. Using memory as her landscape, she tells multiple stories. Scenes from the ceremonious myths of Rama’s exile, Karishna’s Raas, bride at a wedding, a village scene or women performing some religious rituals, Dwivedi look for subjects in daily mundane life. The exhibition is open till March 10th.
