Kota: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje commemorated the 101st birth anniversary of ex-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Jhalawar Thursday, reflecting on his leadership and the Pokhran nuclear tests. Raje highlighted Vajpayee’s commitment to ethical politics, recalling his words about avoiding manipulation and opportunistic alliances for power. She shared her experiences as a junior minister during the 1998 nuclear tests, noting Vajpayee’s guidance on handling sensitive situations.The event featured Raje and Jhalawar-Baran MP Dushyant Singh planting 2,100 teak saplings, part of a larger initiative to create an ‘Atal Van’ with a total of 11,000 saplings. Several healthcare projects were also inaugurated to enhance medical services in the district. Raje concluded with readings from Vajpayee’s poetry, outlining plans for further development of Love Kush Vatika and Atal Van, aiming to rejuvenate the area into a green space.
