JDA accountant, relative held in forest guard paper leak case

Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan police Monday arrested an accountant posted at the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and his brother-in-law in connection with the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination, 2020, paper leak case.The accountant is accused of helping his brother-in-law cheat on the exam and secure a govt job by using a leaked paper, besides providing solved answers to four others in exchange for large sums of money, police said. SOG additional director general Vishal Bansal identified the two accused as Aman Jorwal, a permanent resident of Azizpur in Karauli district, currently residing in the Kartarpura area of the city, and Saurabh Kumar Meena, a resident of Mahuwa in Dausa district. “Jorwal was posted as an accountant in JDA, while Meena was working as a forest guard at Bodal Naka outpost under Gudha Range in Sawai Madhopur district,” Bansal said.“The investigation so far has also found that Jorwal assisted four other candidates in the exam by providing solved answers and collecting a total of Rs 9.5 lakh in return,” said Paris Deshmukh, DIG, SOG.The involvement of Jorwal and Meena in the case came to light after the recent arrest of main accused Jabra Ram Jat, a notorious criminal with a reward of Rs 50,000 for his arrest.The Forest Guard Recruitment Examination, 2020, was conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board on 13 Nov, 2022. The SOG is now on the hunt for the candidates Jorwal helped with solved answer papers.
