Jaipur: After the five-day Diwali festival, JMC-Greater Friday formed seven teams to streamline the city’s sanitation conditions as open waste depots increased during the festivals.Officials said that after Diwali, 32 units (including JCBs, dumper tractor trolleys, etc.) were deployed along with 10 mechanical road sweeper machines, each equipped with 10 sanitation workers who removed garbage from the main road dividers and the green belt service roads above the footpaths Friday. The municipal corporation claimed that teams cleared 1,400 tons of garbage from the city Friday.Commissioner Gaurav Saini, along with officials from the garden, garage, health, and hoarding wings of the municipal corporation, inspected wards in different zones Friday. Saini inspected the cleanliness system at various locations, including Gandhinagar, Tonk Road, Rambagh Circle, Narayan Singh Circle, Trimurti Circle, Moti Dungri Road, JDA Circle, JLN Marg, and Jawahar Circle. He directed that broken dustbins be replaced or repaired and that the cleanliness system be improved in the green belt.“Seven teams were formed at the zone level Friday to restore the city’s cleanliness system after Diwali. The teams launched a special campaign to remove illegal hoardings, banners, and posters that were defacing the city. Over 1,500 such illegal hoardings, banners, and posters were removed on Friday, and this campaign will continue,” said the Commissioner.On Friday, officials from the garden wing inspected over 50 parks, and wherever garbage was found, the team reprimanded the contractors and instructed them to clean up.
