Jaipur: Arshbir Saharan maintained his dream run to emerge as Junior Show Jumping champion in the third Regional Equestrian League (REL) which got underway at the Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy here on Saturday.Displaying excellent jumping skills, 15-year-old Arshbir, riding his astride ‘Hero’, cleared all the ten hurdles in 41.71 seconds.It was the third title in a row for Arshbir, a trainee of the Horse Heaven Equestrian Sports Club. Divyaraj Singh Rathore of MP State Equestrian finished second in 44.36 seconds. Hosts Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy’s Kapish Garg (52.41 secs) and Riditraj Singh Deora (48.18 secs) placed third and fourth, respectively.In the Children-1 Show Jumping, Zara Switten of 61st Cavalry continued her dazzling performance to reign supreme in 55.68 secs.Hosts Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy riders Reya Gupta, Daaniyal Manghani and Diya Sharma closely followed Zara.Arshbir’s younger sister Aadya Saharan was the fastest to complete the competition in just 51.97 seconds, but she had one drop which cost her the title.Capt Gulab Singh Rathore and DIG Naresh Tehlan are the juries of the third REL.The remaining events will be played on the second and final day on Sunday, said Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy founder and former RVC Rider Captain Bhagirath Singh.
