Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Saturday flagged off 160 new Blue Line Express buses of the Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation (RSRTC) and also inaugurated a super luxury service between Jaipur and Kathgodam in Uttarakhand to facilitate pilgrimage to Kainchi Dham.“Ensuring access to every facility to the last person of the society is the priority of the state govt,” Sharma said at the flag off at Amar Jawan Jyoti.Sharma said the Kathgodam service will provide easy connectivity for devotees going to Neem Karoli Dham in Kainchi, located around 40 km from Kathgodam.“To promote religious tourism, the state govt has been providing bus services to religious places like Ayodhya, Govardhan, Salasar Balaji Temple (Salasar), Ramdevra, Shrinathji Temple (Nathdwara), Shri Karni Mata Temple (Deshnoke), and Kailadevi Temple (Karauli) since last year. We will explore scopes for new routes to the religious sites,” Sharma added.RSRTC officials said in compliance with budget announcements, the corporation bought 160 Blue Line Express buses.“These 160 buses will be distributed among 12 bus depots of the state. The list includes Vaishali Nagar (in Jaipur), Vidyadhar Nagar (in Jaipur), Jaipur, Shahpura, Hindaun, Dausa, Ajmer, Ajay Meru (in Ajmer), Kotputli, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, and Bhilwara,” an official said.Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa and RSRTC chairman Shubhra Singh were present at the event along with other govt officials and politicians.
