Alwar: A lawyer from Bharatpur district has filed a an FIR against Hyundai officials and brand ambassadors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone over unresolved issues with his car. The FIR was lodged at Mathura Gate police station following a court order, as the lawyer’s Hyundai Alcazar, purchased in 2022, developed technical faults that the company allegedly failed to rectify. Kirti Singh, who resides in Bharatpur, bought the car from Malwa Auto Sales Pvt Ltd in Sonipat after paying an advance of Rs 51,000 and securing a loan for the remaining amount. Despite assurances from the agency that the car would be problem-free, Singh experienced frequent malfunctions, including issues with the accelerator and engine management system, which he claims endangered his family’s safety. After unsuccessful attempts to have the car repaired or refunded, Singh filed the FIR against Hyundai’s Managing Director Ansoo Kim, COO Tarun Garg, and Malwa Auto Sales Pvt Ltd’s directors. The complaint also implicates Bollywood actors, who endorse the brand, alleging their involvement in promoting defective vehicles. The Mathura Gate police are currently investigating the case.
