Jaipur: In a move towards bolstering water conservation efforts, Rajasthan’s agriculture minister Kirori Lal Meena met Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change minister Bhupendra Yadav Tuesday. The high-stakes meeting culminated in a landmark decision to enforce the recycling of 65% of treated water for irrigation under the liquid discharge policy. This directive is poised to revolutionise agricultural practices and enhance water conservation strategies.The ministers delved into critical issues such as pollution control and the strategic use of treated water in agriculture, underscoring the need for robust inter-ministerial coordination. Following this pivotal discussion, a high-level administrative meeting was convened, chaired by Environment Ministry Secretary Tanmay Singh.
