Jaisalmer: Deputy Commandant Ravindra Rathore of BSF Sector in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan Frontier, along with three other BSF personnel, is set to receive the Gallantry Medal on Independence Day for bravery and courageous acts during Operation Sindoor. A total of 16 BSF officers and jawans deployed in various regions across the country were honoured with the Gallantry Medal Award for destroying Pakistan’s malicious intentions. Rathore Thusday was also honoured with the ‘Chief of Army Staff Commendation Disc’ by Army chief Upendra Dwivedi for his role during Operation Sindoor. BSF Sector SriGanganagar’s DC (G) Mr Ravindra Rathore received the Army Chief’s Commendation Disc for outstanding operational performance in Operation Sindoor.During the operation, Deputy Commandant Rathore and his team, including Inspector Devi Lal, Head Constable Sahib Singh, and Constable Kanwaraj Singh, demonstrated exceptional bravery and courage while stationed at the international border near Sri Ganganagar. The announcement of the award by the central govt brought joy to the BSF Rajasthan Frontier and their families.In addition, five BSF jawans and officers will be awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) in the country, and 46 BSF officers and jawans are being awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).
