Divyansh Bhardwaj bags ‘Best Sarpanch’ in Raj

Jodhpur: In a recognition of his innovative leadership, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma awarded Divyansh M Bhardwaj, the Sarpanch of Awan in Tonk district, with the title of Best Sarpanch in Rajasthan during the state-level Independence Day celebration at Mehrangarh Fort Thursday. Divyansh is the sole recipient of this honour among 11,341 panchayats across 41 districts, reflecting his exceptional initiatives for community development.Divyansh’s contributions to Awan include the establishment of separate air-conditioned libraries equipped with internet access for both boys and girls, along with two cremation grounds and a newly constructed heritage panchayat building. Additionally, he has developed a marriage garden complete with a banquet hall and a ghat featuring a dressing room at Rajkaleshwar Teerth, facilities that are rare even among villages nationwide. An MBA graduate from Switzerland, Divyansh has implemented various progressive projects that have positioned Awan as a model of excellence in the state. His initiatives, such as sponsoring air travel for students and appointing a girl student as Sarpanch on Balika Divas, have garnered attention, with plans to replicate the Awan model in Maharashtra.
