KOTA: A disease-ridden-sexagenarian couple allegedly ended their lives by suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling fan of their room in Sunel town, Jhalawar district, sometime during the intervening Sunday-Monday night. The bodies were discovered hanging on Monday morning, after which police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.Lalchand Dhakad (65) and his wife Sita Bai (60) allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan in their house in Sunel town during the intervening Sunday-Monday night, according to SHO at Sunel police station, Vishnu Singh.Family members found the couple hanging in their room on Monday morning and informed the police, who arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies.A suicide note was recovered from the room, in which the couple mentioned the critical diseases they had been suffering from, the reason behind their extreme step, and urged that family members not be disturbed, the SHO said.The deceased woman suffered from severe paralysis, while her husband was also afflicted with critical health issues, he added.Police handed over the two bodies to their family members after post-mortem on Monday morning and registered a case under section 194 of BNSS for investigation, he said.
