Jhunjhunu: An unknown person left a newborn boy in a cradle at Govt Maternity and Child Hospital in Churu Saturday. The boy, weighing about four kilogram, is said to be around one-and-a-half months old. The hospital administration informed the child helpline team and the hospital outpost police. A doctor conducted an initial examination of boy who is reported to be healthy. Routine and other tests are being conducted as well. The newborn has no difficulty in drinking milk.Paediatrician Sandeep Kulhari said that the newborn is healthy and will be sent to a care home under legal procedures where he will be looked after. Currently, the newborn’s condition is stable. For the newborn’s safety and care, Yashoda and a female constable have been deployed. tnn
