JAIPUR: During a recent interaction with locals in Jaipur, former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot found himself at the receiving end of some light-hearted but earnest advice — from a tea vendor with a sharp eye for detail and a fondness for his leader.Shimbhudayal Saini, who runs a tea stall near Government Hostel, told Gehlot he’d noticed something consistent over the years: the same old car.“I’ve seen you driving the same vehicle for 15 years,” he said with a smile. “It’s time to upgrade. A black Defender would suit you better!”Saini added that while other politicians change cars every few months, Gehlot’s choice has remained unchanged. “You’re my favourite leader. I want to see you in a better car,” he said, requesting Gehlot to remember him. “Next time when you become CM, please change the car. Don’t forget my face — I’ll remind you!”
