Jaipur: An elderly couple, Murshid Ahmed and his wife, were allegedly locked inside the commissioner’s waiting room by the security guards at the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) headquarters Tuesday. The couple had travelled to Jaipur hoping for a final decision on a 28-year-old land dispute.Their son, Vakas Ahmed, who was with them, went out to bring drinking water. But when he returned, he found his parents locked inside the room. “It was around 7.16pm. When I came back, I found the room was locked. My parents were still inside. When I called the guards, one of them shouted back, saying, ‘Office hours are over. Why were you still sitting inside? We have to lock up before leaving,'” Ahmed said. Murshid Ahmed claimed the board had given them July 15 as the final date to resolve their matter. tnn
