Jaisalmer: Wave of sensation gripped Mohangarh police’s attention when locals informed them about a young man’s body lying roadside under suspicious circumstances in Jaisalmer Saturday. During investigation, a damaged motorcycle was found lying near the deceased, an Aadhaar card and mobile phone was recovered from man’s pocket. Police informed his family, who later arrived in Mohangarh, where a post-mortem was conducted before his body was handed over to them.Mohangarh’s station house officer (SHO) Nathusingh Charan stated that deceased was identified as Ramesh alias Ram Singh (25), son of Tejaram and resident of Malkosni, Bilara. A liquor bottle was also found over motorcycle, confirming that deceased had consumed alcohol. Fatal head injury occurred when motorcycle slipped on a curved road, causing Ramesh to fall into bushes nearby.SHO Charan further mentioned that Ramesh was returning to his village Bilara when his motorcycle slipped. He was engaged in agriculture work near canal area. To collect money, he had recently sold his goats to a neighbour. Causes of accident are under investigation.
