Jaipur: Police, Tuesday, arrested eight people, including a woman, for murder of a disabled man following a family dispute in Anupgarh area of Sriganganagar district. The incident occurred in 2 PGM village Monday when 28-year-old Mukesh Singh was attacked with sticks and iron rods by neighbours. However, he died on his way to the hospital due to severe head injuries. His mother and sister were also injured while trying to intervene.Police said the attack stemmed from a dispute involving Mukesh’s elder brother’s wife, who was living with a relative of one of the accused. Though tensions calmed briefly after a confrontation earlier that evening, the accused returned two hours later and assaulted Mukesh.Anupgarh SHO Ishwar Prasad Jangid said eight members of a family living in the neighbourhood were arrested following the murder. Some of them were trying to escape on bikes after the murder when they were intercepted at a checkpoint. An FSL team collected evidence from the scene. tnn
