Jodhpur: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said here Wednesday that a conspiracy was being hatched within the BJP to remove CM Bhajan Lal Sharma from his post. Gehlot, who is on a five-day visit to Jodhpur, made this shocking claim while speaking to the media.“A conspiracy is being hatched to dislodge CM Sharma. His own party leaders have become active both in Delhi and Rajasthan. But the CM is unable to understand the danger. We are alerting him over and over again,” said Gehlot. He added that he wants Sharma to complete his full term as CM, but some people from his own party are working against it. “If he remains under an illusion, it is he who will suffer the consequences,” Gehlot warned, adding that making Sharma, a first-time MLA, the CM was a brave decision, and it should not be reversed.Referring to the state of governance in the state, Gehlot said, “The situation in Rajasthan is grave, and people are suffering. If the CM begins public hearings, he would know what the public wants.”Gehlot alleged that the BJP govt has either weakened the widely acclaimed welfare schemes of his govt or discontinued them, and this has resulted in complete chaos. He said his criticism of the govt is based on public feedback. “By doing so, we just want to draw the attention of the govt to public grievances. Unfortunately, the govt is under a state of illusion,” he said.
